KA CM BSY Say Govt is in favour of lifting lockdown in coronavirus free districts

April 9th: Subject to approval from the center the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa said that government is in favor of lifting the lockdown in corona free districts. According to officials, there is no COVID-19 cases in 12 districts in the state. He also said, since Bengaluru is now under lockdown, the instructions have been given to take up road works in the city in next one or two days. He also said, to increase revenue collection, the liquor sale may resume in the city.

The state has reported over 190 confirmed cases which also includes 5 deaths and 28 recovered.

Lockdown Shouldn't knock down our spirits, says Master Movie Makers

April 9th: The highly expected Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' movie was supposed to hit the screens today. The makers are forced to postponed the movie due to Nationwide lockdown and outbreak COVID-19. Thalapathy fans were eagerly waiting action packed thriller movie, the fans have been requesting for the movie trailer least.

The makers of the movie responded to the fans request by posting a new poster with the caption stating, "Lockdown Shouldn't Knock Down Our Spirits, Master Will Meet You Soon" on their Twitter page.

COVID-19 - Aircraft Parked on tarmac runway in Benagluru Airport

April 9th: Aircraft of different airlines are parked on the tarmac runway at Bengaluru International Airport due to coronavirus outbreak in the Country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced Nationwide lockdown on March 24th for 21 days. Due to this Airline service suspended. 

COVID-19 - Odisha decides extend Lockdown Till April 30th

April 9th: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik decides to extend the lockdown till APRIL 30th. Nevertheless, Patnaik has requested Center not to start Railway or Airline services till 30th of April. Odisha is the first state to announce the extension of the Nationwide lockdown for COVID-19 in the Country.

US President Trump Thanks Modi For HCQ

April 9th: US President Donald Trump Thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his Twitter handle for exporting hydroxychloroquine drug to USA. "Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation between friends. Thank you India and the Indian people for the decision on HCQ. Will not be forgotten! Thank you Prime Minister @NarendraModi for your strong leadership in helping not just India, but humanity, in this fight!". 

US has the highest number of positive cases of about 3.6 lakh. Over 10,000+ people have already died, which pushes it to become the worst-affected nation after Italy and Spain.

PM Modi say lockdown may extended

April 8th: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said lockdown may be extended. A final decision to be taken after a meeting with all state Chief Ministers which is likely be held on Saturday. He made the comment at all party meeting that was held today after 21 days of lockdown announced.

The Nationwide lockdown end on April 15 and during the meeting all the recommendation that government got so far says that the lockdown should be done by phased manner. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh sugeested that  education institutions are endure to shut until May 15.
